Through hands-on activities and observation of live birds, students learn about the different adaptations of birds and how these adaptations allow birds to survive.

Through hands-on activities, and observation of a live animal, students will be able to identify at least three characteristics of mammals. Students will also recognize the differences between omnivores, herbivores and carnivores.

Through Hands-on activities, students will recognize that reptiles are divided into four distinct groups: Students will also recognize the attributes of each of these groups. Students will also compare the diets of three native reptiles and recognize the characteristics of venomous and non-venomous snakes.

Through hands-on activities and observation of live animals, students will recognize the definition of raptor, and recognize why raptors are important to the ecosystem. Students will also recognize the unique physical characteristics of raptors.
