Through hands-on activities and observation of live animals, students will recognize the characteristics of nocturnal animals. Students will recognize how these characteristics enable these animals to procure food at night.

Through hands-on activities, and role-play using historic documents and historic characters, students will recognize the events leading up to the 2nd and 3rd Seminole wars. Students will also recognize the significance of the past on present Seminole culture. Note: Teachers will be provided with pre-visit information that will prepare students for this program.

Through hands-on activities, students will understand how the Seminole tribe was formed and the purposes for their migration into Florida. Students will also recognize the social and political framework of the United States during the onset of the 1st Seminole War.
